The project extra bases, multimedia online magazine, seeks to address the state of contemporary visual practices: unstable territory traversed by economic, technological and artistic. Colombia, a country peripheral to the audiovisual and entertainment industries, has found, through the processes of globalization, ways to participate. Within these modes can include research, generation of academic spaces for reflection, output formats and unconventional techniques, among others.
The initial number of the magazine will be published in December. Central theme of this issue there will be a timely reflection on the dialogues that take place around audiovisual practices in Colombia. "Audiovisual Colombia: land of dialogue", the first special themed magazine extra bases, aims address such issues as relationships that exist between reality and representation referred to, audiovisual and society, visual and social and human sciences, visual discourse and audiovisual speech, performing arts and film, and technology development as well as open spaces for reflection and outreach advertising, video games, digital storytelling, VJ projects, experimental and industrial television, video and educational community, among others.
horizon is a very ambitious but it has to do with the urgency of accounting, from the creation and reflection about possible crossings. The special aims to systematize experiences, while raise from the reality of all those involved in visual practices, the challenges requires a state of affairs like the present. This systematization of dogmas but not intended to create an audiovisual show ways for more inclusive and that no single runs in the market reality. The material selected for the special will be included in a CD-ROM will be distributed at libraries, universities and institutions in this sector.
